Christ is the answer church organized a holiday in the Carpathians for media workers and teachers

On August 15, the «Christ is the answer» church in Rivne returned from a tourist trip to the Carpathians.

It was organized for media workers and teachers. 54 people and 5 full days in Zakarpattia – this is the twentieth trip to the mountains in the last 3.5 years. Among the participants of the camp there were teachers of the Ostroh Academy and teachers of the Rivne region, the school Director and teaching staff from the Donetsk region, employees of «OGO» and «7 days» newspapers, «Rivnyany» magazine and «Luther» radio.

«It is an incredible opportunity to visit the Carpathians. We are here for the first time, and we are surprised by this incredible nature. Thank God for the opportunity to relax.» – Oleksii Holovaty, the headmaster, Toretsk city, Donetsk region.

Hiking on Gimba Mountain, Shypit waterfall, geyser, Synevyr Lake, Synevyr Pass, rehabilitation center for bears, Arpad line bunker – it is difficult to imagine how you can visit all these places in just 5 days. In addition to excursions, the organizers made picnics, games for all, and quizzes with prizes, and in their free time, camp participants could relax in the pool, walk by the river or see the surroundings of the village of Mezhygiria.

«Every trip is a new experience. Thanks to the team, we learned a lot of new things, became spiritually enriched, and no one wanted to miss anything. I hope that children will listen to the sermons and be completely different.» – Yana Batyga, advertising Manager, OGO Publishing house, Rivne city.

Days filled with interesting routes and emotions ended with joint evening meetings. Vacationers shared their impressions, listened to lectures on spiritual topics, watched videos about the life of the church and enjoyed songs of praise. The participants discussed the importance of reading the Bible, celebrating Christian holidays, atoning for sins, and occultism. What they heard touched the hearts of listeners, and later some people approached pastor Taras Sen with requests for help.

«I would like to note the excellent organization of the trip. The trip was great. Of course, I would like to go back and see these beautiful places again. We didn’t even notice how the organizers did all the work for us. They are very cool.» – Victoria Polishchuk, head of the Department of Indo-European languages, National University «Ostroh Academy», Netishyn city, Khmelnytsk region.

Christian ethics classes were held daily for children. Everyone received points for correct answers and completed tasks. After the end of the camp for young participants of the camp, the attendants organized a fair where children exchanged their points for toys and nice things.

«I haven’t rested for 10 years. And the day came when we turned off the brain. We turned off all household chores, taking care of the day-because others took care of us. Everything was so simple and organized; it shows the high professionalism of the team. But behind it all there is hard work all day long. Thanks to everyone.» – Olga Pidluzhna, director of Luther radio, the city of Rivne.

God’s grace filled the hearts of those people who were present – in a short time everyone became close friends, and a warm friendly atmosphere, as you know, plays an important role in any event. During the fun contests, participants of the camp remembered their childhood, despite their upper posts, they were cheerful and open. Before leaving home, vacationers received certificates for the conquest of the Gimba Mountain and magnets for memory.

And until now, the organizers receive a large number of calls and messages with words of gratitude and warm reviews. And the photos show happy faces of people who saw the beauty of the picturesque Ukrainian Carpathians for the first time in their lives.

Give

All areas of service of the community are carried out through voluntary donations of caring people. The most important thing is not the size of the donation, but the attitude and condition of the heart. God sees our needs and seeks to deprive us of our worries. He also wants to see the love and sacrifice of our grateful hearts. «Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver!» (2 Cor. 9:7).
