Easter holiday in the «Christ is the answer» church during the quarantine

The «Christ is the answer» church has been organizing mass charity and spiritual events on the occasion of major holidays for 4 years in a row. A large number of guests, interesting program, friendly atmosphere, new acquaintances. And traditionally, the community planned to spend Easter day together, sharing a great joy, because the feast of the Resurrection of Christ is one of the most important holidays for all mankind.

But the quarantine in Ukraine, as well as all over the world, has made its own adjustments to everyone’s life. The ministers of the church do not have the opportunity to carry out usual Sunday meetings, children’s activities or home groups. They can’t visit patients in hospitals or nursing homes with gifts. Moreover, the church cannot endanger its parishioners by holding a festive Easter service.

However, the church continues to do good deeds that do not violate the rules of quarantine. Brothers and sisters distributed about 150 sweet gifts to residents of Rivne and surrounding villages, and children from the church were treated to chocolate . Every day at 9AM, church transport brings medical workers from the regional hospital to the villages of Big Zhitin, Radislavka, Nova Ukrainka, Kotiv. Medical masks and 20,000 Easter newspapers were given free of charge to the local residents by the ministers.

«One woman repented and found God through a prayer of repentance that she read on the christian calendar. Therefore, it is very important that christians use all possible methods to spread the Gospel» – Taras Sen, pastor of the church.

25 Christian boards on spiritual and social themes were placed on the streets of the city. The slogans «God forgives sins if you repent», «Jesus heals life», «God will judge you, repent, and He will forgive» now silently remind passers-by of important things. And for those who began to spend more time at home, local TV channels Rivne-1 and RHYTHM aired Easter TV shows and congratulations on the holiday. Servants of the community, are constantly supporting other people over the phone.

The present time is a great time for the development of media service, especially on the internet. So, the church team pays a lot of attention to the YouTube channel and social media pages. And of course, thanks to modern technologies, the festive Easter meeting was held on-line: on Easter day, a large number of families gathered at home in front of computer monitors to listen in unity to the sermon of the church’s pastor to celebrate this big occasion.
