Family meeting in the «Christ is the answer» church
At the end of September, a meeting for couples was held in the «Christ is the answer» church. The purpose of communication is to learn the biblical family principles, through which couples can build a strong family, strengthen marriage, learn to respect, love, listen and hear each other.
Both members of the «Christ is the answer» church and non-church people were invited to the evening.
The meeting was held in a hall decorated in a romantic style: lanterns, a family photo zone, flowers and candles on the tables. In a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, over a cup of fragrant tea, the couples shared their impressions of their summer vacation and discussed practical issues of family life reflected in the Word of God.
Taras Sen, pastor of the church helped the guests to understand such issues: family in the Bible, what it means to «leave father and mother», the role of husband and wife in the family. Everyone has learned useful information that will certainly be applied in life.
Not without fun and informative contests with prizes for the winners. Couples were divided into teams – women and men. Wives wrote on paper the characteristics of the ideal husband, and husbands – the features of the ideal wife. We tried to write not only what is already present in the partners, but also what is missing. After that, the teams read their wishes to each other and, of course, took note of the opinions of their halves. The conversation ended on a pleasant and romantic note: each of the participants wrote compliments to their wife or husband on a postcard.
The family service in the «Christ is the answer» church has been held for about a year. And there are not just positive reviews from married couples, but also practical results: relationships between husbands and wives are improving, families are strengthening. The church plans to continue this necessary and useful service.
Give
All areas of service of the community are carried out through voluntary donations of caring people. The most important thing is not the size of the donation, but the attitude and condition of the heart. God sees our needs and seeks to deprive us of our worries. He also wants to see the love and sacrifice of our grateful hearts. «Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver!» (2 Cor. 9:7).
