IV conference of the all-Ukrainian «Christ is the answer» mission was held

From 13 to 17 October the fourth annual conference of the all-Ukrainian «Christ is the answer» mission took place in Zakarpattia in the village of Mezhyhirya. The picturesque village welcomed missionaries, volunteers and their families from different regions of Ukraine. A rich program was waiting for the guests: seminars, personal communication with each other, rest on walks and excursions.

«This conference is a blessing for me, because here we rested soul, spirit and body, communicated, went on excursions. I took a spiritual lesson for myself, which follows from the conference’s motto: we must complete the work that we started, since it is entrusted to us by God Himself», – Olexandr Osepyan, acting pastor of the church, Svatovo.

The seminars were conducted by Anatolii Beskrovnyi, Bishop of the Donetsk and Luhansk regional associations of the Ukrainian Church of the Christians of Evangelical Faith. In the meetings, the missionaries’ testimonies of what God does through their ministry were heard, and the sincere stories of the ministers incited the audience to work even harder in God’s field.

«My opinion is that the more christian missions like «Christ is the answer» are created, the fewer wrongdoers there will be on Earth. I am grateful to God that he uses the mission and its employees to expand the boundaries of the Kingdom of God» – Anatolii Beskrovnyi, Bishop of the Donetsk and Luhansk regional associations of the Ukrainian Church of the Christians of Evangelical Faith, pastor of the «Grace» church, Pokrovsk city.

At one of the meetings, pastor Taras Sen summed up the main work done by the «Christ is the answer» mission over the past five years. He told how several new churches were founded in the Donbass and Western Ukraine; eight premises for houses of worship were purchased, several more are expected to be purchased; money is being allocated to repair houses of prayer of different churches. Vehicles were also purchased for mission teams; in nine regions of Ukraine, the mission launched a service of eye clinics, where more than 10 thousand people received a consultation of ophthalmologists and free glasses.

«Wonderful impressions from the conference! Here I was personally touched by the truths of God, created, inspired, and gave me the strength to renew myself. This is necessary for all missionaries. A spiritual lesson for me is to hold on to the grace of Jesus Christ in all circumstances. During the mission’s existence, more than five million copies of the «Christ is the answer» newspaper and more than a million christian calendars were printed. Street tents are set up in different cities of Ukraine to distribute christian literature. In addition, more than 100 christian boards were placed in the city of Rivne and in the Luhansk region. The missionaries also established cooperation with various secular media. Work with the media is not limited to printed publications-the mission also interacts with television: about four thousand сhristian programs were broadcast on 10 TV channels.

Ministers of the «Christ is the answer» mission conducted hundreds of children’s evangelizations in different regions of Ukraine, and сhristian school diaries were published for school children. In educational institutions (schools, colleges, universities), lectures were held for several thousand students on spiritual and moral topics.

The mission’s charitable initiatives include distributing food packages to those in need, charity dinners, and organizing tourist trips to the Carpathians. By the way, more than 20 excursions to the green pearl of Ukraine have already taken place, more than a thousand people took part in them.

«I thank God for this conference and wish all missionaries not to give up in difficult moments, because after a while we will definitely see the fruits, and God allows us to see them. I believe that God wants us not only to work for others, but also to grow in the grace of God», – Olexii Samokhin, minister of the rehabilitation center, Mykolaiv region.

Large-scale social work is also being carried out. The mission’s social projects include: classes with cancer-stricken children, visits to prisoners, conversations with patients in hospitals and clinics, and assistance to the homeless. One of the focuses of missionary activity is support for internally displaced persons.

Every day after lunch, the conference participants were given guided tours. Volunteers and their families went to the Synevir pass, lake Synevir, climbed Gimba mountain with the help of a lift, visited the Shypit waterfall, a geyser of cold water. All the sights left indelible impressions in the hearts of vacationers: «For thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.» (Psalms. 92:4).

The event ended on a positive note, and the participants received an extraordinary boost of energy and strength to fulfill their goal of working in God’s field and spreading the Gospel. At the end of the conference, a prayer was offered for the healing and strengthening of the workers of God.
