To love means to serve
On December 1, the «Christ is the Answer» church held a pleasant meeting with brothers and sisters of mature and elderly age.
In a cozy, homely atmosphere, those who were present talked to each other, listened to wise instructions based on the Bible, and prayed together. Beautiful christian songs accompanied by a bandura delighted all the guests. Brothers and sisters prepared a grocery set for everyone, which included: cereals, sunflower oil, canned fish and meat, tea, fruits, cookies, sweets. The guests were sincerely grateful for a good time and help.
The ministers of the church plan to hold more similar events in the future.
An integral aspect of the ministry of the «Christ is the Answer» church is the organization of charity events to help different segments of the population: eye clinics, distribution of food packages, children’s holidays, trips to the Carpathians, family meetings and more. Because: «To love means to serve».
«What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like!» (Saint Augustine)
Give
All areas of service of the community are carried out through voluntary donations of caring people. The most important thing is not the size of the donation, but the attitude and condition of the heart. God sees our needs and seeks to deprive us of our worries. He also wants to see the love and sacrifice of our grateful hearts. «Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver!» (2 Cor. 9:7).
