Vacation to the Carpathians with the «Christ is the answer» church
From 13 to 18 July the nineteenth tourist trip to the Carpathians with the «Christ is the answer» church in Rivne took place.
This time, 60 people visited the pearl of Ukraine: among them were 13 orphans who didn’t have the opportunity to see the picturesque Carpathian slopes before. Now they were able to do this completely free of charge, due to the «Christ is the answer» mission.
«During this difficult time, we could not go anywhere with the children. We are grateful that the church invited us to join the camp and we had such a great opportunity to relax. I came with five children; they are delighted with excursions, games, communication. Thank you so much!». Oleksii Sichenikov, the tutor of family-type foster home.
The beginning and the main location of the excursion was Yaremche, and from that picturesque place a great trip started: a visit to Bukovel and the Park of Dinosaurs, reaching the mountain top of Hoverla Mountain, rest near the Huk waterfall. A pleasant journey along the Dovbush Rocks, where everyone could eat blueberries collected on their own. Everyone could buy interesting souvenirs near the Probiy waterfall; they will remind us the unforgettable minutes spent with friends in the Carpathians.
«We have only positive impressions. In five days we managed to visit a lot of beautiful places with picturesque views. The greatest beauty is the one that God created. Look at the mountains, listen to the sound of the river, breathe in the fresh air – I think this is the most important thing for people.» – Olena Strenadko, teacher.
Rest with the «Christ is the Answer» church is always not an ordinary trip, but a deep spiritual and cognitive communication, an opportunity to find and show God’s action in the life of every person. During the general meetings, mission director Taras Sen touched upon such important topics as reverence for parents, subtleties of raising children from the point of view of the Word of God.
The participants also learned about the true meaning of many Christian holidays and the rules of their celebration, and had a conversation about the occult and its consequences for humans.
«I realized that you need to appreciate what you have, every little thing. And we need to love God, Who helps us in everything. This is not the first time I have been to Hoverla Mountain, and I hope I will have an opportunity to join more vacations with the «Christ is the answer» church» – Oksana Udodik, a student.
Another important topic is the Atonement at Calvary. Children and adults heard a sermon about the wonderful Atonement of the sins of every person that Jesus Christ made on Calvary at the cost of His precious Blood.
For five days there was no free time in the camp: excursions, quizzes, and various general events did not let either adults or children get bored. At first glance, the trip was short, but during this time everyone became friends. On the last day, it was noticeable how difficult it was for the participants to leave, and they wanted to continue communicating.
«I am very pleased that God gave us the opportunity to serve people by organizing trips to the Carpathians. It is a joy that the camp always has a warm and pleasant atmosphere» – Taras Sen, pastor of the church.
The pastor noted that people were grateful not only for the interesting journey, but also for the fact that they had the opportunity to hear the Word of God, which prompted them to think about their lives. The «Christ is the answer» church will continue the tradition of tourist trips to the Carpathians, as we have been doing this for 3,5 years. This summer, we plan to organize trips for teachers and media professionals, as well as a separate trip for families.
Give
All areas of service of the community are carried out through voluntary donations of caring people. The most important thing is not the size of the donation, but the attitude and condition of the heart. God sees our needs and seeks to deprive us of our worries. He also wants to see the love and sacrifice of our grateful hearts. «Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver!» (2 Cor. 9:7).
